Updates: Office Hours, Telemedicine + Online Shop

Good health to you!
(I’m not writing a novel, but I have some things to share!) Please see office closure info and immunity recommendations below.

I am sitting in the Arroyo Grande office listening to our acupuncture ruling body “Town Hall Meeting” with 3,600 acupuncturists in the United States online. We are all trying to figure out how we can help our patients and community remotely. Our medicine is so special face to face so this is difficult to not be there for you with acupuncture for stress, feeling sick, insomnia, pain, etc. How can we all help others?

We can be “here” for you via telemedicine efforts. This means I can be “here” for you by Skype, Facetime, or phone to consult health concerns, whatever it may be. We can discuss herbs, supplements, hormone issues, pain relief ideas, lifestyle changes, breath work, nutrition, sleep, exercise, etc. through talking together. Please let me know if this interests you and we can “meet.” Especially if you are feeling cold/flu symptoms, we need to treat it right away.

Herb/Supplement pick up 805-481-1035
We are still here in the Arroyo Grande office on Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00-4:00.
Please call in your order of what you need to refill, let us know time frame, and we will get it ready for you and set it outside the front door. Payment is by phone with credit card or by Venmo (Jenny Dull@bowacu).

If you are in Atascadero/North County area, please call and Jenny can arrange to meet you at Atascadero office.

Another idea for your convenience! We have an online store now through Fullscript!
You are able to use this link: http://us.fullscript.com/welcome/bowacu
and set up your own account. You shop online through Fullscript for most of the items I have in my office (Evergreen herbs are not in Fullscript, but if need be, check out Blue Poppy and Kan Herbals). It is delivered to your house.
Branches of Wellness Acupuncture office will remain closed to honor the physical distancing that is needed to reduce Covid-19 cases. Many of you have appointments scheduled starting March 30. We need to cancel all appointments for the time being. I wish I knew when we can all meet again…I am looking at the calendar and let’s say that we can meet April 20 and thereafter. I will keep everyone on the schedule April 20 and later. Feel free to email or call to reschedule your appointment if you haven’t heard from us yet. When we get closer, we will send another email out to let you know status of office. Let’s be hopeful!

Please take the physical distancing seriously. If you want to help others, call your local food banks/churches and deliver food, help your loved ones, donate your N95 masks to local hospitals– we will have a shortage in the next week. And to anyone who has a loved one that is sick or has passed away from Covid-19, our hearts feel this anguish and know you are supported.

Buffered Vitamin C: dose: 2,000mg/day, increase dose if you feel any cold/flu symptoms. Higher dosing with C can give you diarrhea;
buffered C is best, less acidic on stomach. Vit. C is showing to be the best remedy to help heal from Covid-19.
Another note on Vit.C: if you become sick with Covid-19,
intravenous Vitamin C mega dosing for 3 days in a row shows
the best healing outcome. Naturopaths and Dr. Foresman do these IVs in our area.

Vitamin D3/K2 dose: 5,000-10,000IU/day, can increase to 20,000-50,000 if you feel like you are getting sick (for example: 50,000 IU/day for 3 days if you feel initial onset of cold/flu and then taper down to 10,000IU)
Cod liver oil (has Vit.A and D in it)

(there are many other supplements that are great for boosting immunity like Lysine, Quercetin, CoQ10, CBD full-spectrum, etc.)
Whole food multi-vitamin: Cellular Vitality: take 3 pills/day This is an immune boosting multi vitamin from food
Immuplex: immune multi-vitamin

Herbs: (many wonderful herbs to kill virus/bacteria)
Gan Mao Ling or Yin Qiao, yes! Take if you are around sick people, traveling, and if you have initial onset symptoms (take 5 pills 3-4x/day for 3-5 days depending on your symptoms)

Echinacea, astragalus, ginsengs, elderberry to build immunity. Stop if you get sick; we would need to change herbs

Herbal Throat Spray from Standard Process or Thieves by Young Living: studies are showing that this virus sticks to your airways (mouth/nose) for up to 3-5 days before you have symptoms. If you think you have been infected, spray every hour for 1 day, minimize dose 2nd and 3rd day.

Oregano Oil 5 drops 2x/day
Andrographis Complex: 1 pill 2x/day for preventative. If you feel
cold/flu symptoms, immediately increase dose: 1 pill 6x/day for
up to a week. These herbs regulate the immune system and
andrographis specifically kills virus/bacteria.

Thank you for reading, stay well emotionally and physically!
We miss you,
Jenny, Marisa, and Mandy
